FORE SOCIAL: Where Social Networking Meets Decentralized Predictions

Since the launch of FORE Predict’s mainnet November 30th, our first hypothesis has been proven: you want to create, participate in, and validate prediction markets on any event. What we’ve discovered since, both with your valuable activity and feedback, is that users not only want a place to take part in predictions, but to interact with others doing so too. The current market lifecycle consists of creation, participation, and validation in-app, but market discussions, debates, and deliberation occurring across a myriad of platforms.

Cue FORE Social: where social networking meets decentralized predictions. The future of FORE Predict is an all-encompassing social predictions ecosystem where users can not only create and participate in markets, but discuss these markets live in-app. Where users can not only track their own activity within their portfolio page, but observe, monitor, and even copy the activity of other users too.

We’re building a predictions ecosystem where, for example, an NBA fan can not only create or participate in markets on an upcoming game, but discuss the game live with other users - player stats, potential outcomes, and more. Users can even observe and follow players on the platform, setting up notifications for their market activity and more. Not only does this create a social predictions ecosystem that enables you to make more informed decisions in real time, but it creates even more revenue streams for users: creating a ‘landing page’ from which to share market analysis, weekly picks, and strategies.

1. User profiles: The rollout of FORE Social will occur in phases, beginning today. Now, you can create and share your profile on FORE Predict, complete with name, bio, and key platform metrics like P&L and win rate. As additional gamification features are added to the platform, badges and other elements will be displayed on your public page.‍
2. Following system: This will soon be followed by a ‘following’ system, allowing you to view other user profiles and follow their activity if you like what you see. This will create a personalized feed of activity based on your preferences and interests. Push notifications will be enabled to keep you informed whenever these users create a new market, take a position, and more. A recommendation engine will be integrated into your market feed to discover markets and users based on your activity.‍
3. Interactive markets: The next feature to be deployed will be live market discussions within each market page, enabling you to share your predictions, market analyses, and adjust your position based on real-time discussions and sentiment.‍
4. Insight amplification: Within the user profile pages, users will be able to further monetize their activity by gating and sharing market analysis, weekly picks, and strategies with other users.
