FORE Predict is a peer-to-peer predictions platform powered by people. You create markets, you participate in markets, and you validate markets - on any real world event. As a people-powered ecosystem, we want to build a prediction platform that actually addresses user pain points: whether bad odds, counterparty risk, high fees, lack of incentives, or lack of interesting market structures. Ultimately, we want to build a platform that people actually want to use.

We have built our MVP around a parimutuel market structure (where users pool funds together and payout odds are determined by their respective share of the winning side relative to the losing side). However, we plan to expand our offering to include several market types and structures based on user demand, including (but not limited to):

- Binary Markets: Binary type of markets with A/B outcomes. Its structure is somewhat reminiscent of binary options.
Example: Which team will emerge as the Eastern Conference Champions in the 2023 NBA Finals? 
A. Boston Celtics 
B. Miami Heat

- Categorical Markets: The user can take a position on one (or more) of several choices defined by the market creator.  
Example: Who will win the 2024 presidential election?
A. Donald Trump
B. Ron de Santis
C. Joe Biden
D. Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.

- Parlay Markets: much in the same way parlay bets work currently, parlay markets would payout based on the successful prediction of two or more markets (pre-defined by the market creator) .
Example:
1. The next Grand Theft Auto game (GTA) will be released by the end of 2023.
2. There will be an increase in named storms (globally) in 2023 compared to 2022.
3. The Democratic party will win the 2024 United States presidential election.

- Ordered Markets: The user can predict the order of pre-defined outcomes as set by the market creator. The most direct comparison for this market type would be an exacta, perfecta or exactor market. 
Example: What will be the top 3 cryptocurrencies by market capitalization by the end of 2023, in exact order?
1. Bitcoin, Ethereum, Tether
2. Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB
3. Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDC

- Floating Point Markets: The user can participate in a market that relates to a floating point number. Users can then guess the number (with the users closest to the actual number winning).
Example: What will be the total number of points scored by the Eastern Conference final MVP? 

‍When participating in markets, individuals' preferences for market structures vary based on personal preference, investment strategy, risk management, and market information. Personal preferences and risk tolerance influence the choice of market structure. Some prefer the simplicity of binary markets, while others seek the challenge of categorical or ordered markets. Investment strategies are also a determining factor, as market structures offer unique opportunities for arbitrage, hedging, and risk management. Parlay markets allow combining predictions for higher returns, while floating point markets suit those making predictions based on numerical values. Additionally, the availability and quality of market information impacts the selection of market structure. Categorical markets require numerically accurate information, while binary markets are suitable in cases of limited information or high uncertainty.

Ultimately, individuals can optimize their market participation experience by considering these factors and making choices that suit their specific needs and objectives.
